Porter Airlines is a Toronto-based airline that connects passengers to more than 20 cities across Canada and the US. Today, the Canadian carrier announced that it’s adding flights to/from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and both Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW) starting in November.

These new flights are operated with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Porter promises that all passengers receive “celebrity treatment with Porter’s elevated economy experience.” It offers a 2-2 seating configuration and offers a premium experience to all passengers with complimentary snacks, beer and wine served in glassware, and free Wi-Fi. Flights to/from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) begin on November 1st (this will run 4x weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays). Porter will be the only carrier flying this route. Flights to/from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) will start on November 2nd (this will run 3x weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays).

Las Vegas Sign

Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines, said:

We are continuing to provide passengers in Ottawa and Montréal with convenient and comfortable travel options. These new routes to Las Vegas reflect our commitment to meeting passenger demand and offering superior service across our expanding network.”

Anthony’s Take: I’ve flown Air Canada and WestJet (I compared their Business Class offerings here), but still have yet to try Porter Airlines. It looks like a comfortable ride and I hope to try it one of these days.
