The New Terminal One at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has named Plaza Premium Group (PPG) as the exclusive operator of two state-of-the-art lounges that will total nearly 14,000 square feet (as part of the airport’s $19 billion transformation). The partnership marks a significant milestone for PPG as it establishes a presence at one of the world’s busiest and most iconic airports.

The crown jewel of PPG’s offering at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be the Plaza Premium First Lounge. This 9,300-square-foot ultra-premium lounge will be located beyond the security checkpoint. It will be open 24/7 and will cater to the most discerning travelers to provide an elegant break from the bustling airport.

Key features will include:

  • Signature Infinity Room: a secluded, private area for ultimate exclusivity
  • À la carte dining with curated menus featuring global flavors
  • Handcrafted cocktails served from a dedicated full-service bar
  • Quiet zones designed for passengers seeking privacy and relaxation

In a first-of-its-kind offering for John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), PPG will also debut a 4,200-square-foot Plaza Premium Lounge located pre-security in the arrivals hall. Positioned near the curbside entrance, the space provides an oasis for travelers upon arrival and departure.

Highlights include:

  • Restaurant-quality dining and a full-service bar
  • Private shower suites for arriving passengers
  • A business center
  • Comfortable seating

This arrivals lounge is designed to transform the ground experience. It will offer a premium option for both departing and arriving guests (a rare feature among US airports). The New Terminal One is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion plan to transform JFK into a world-class global gateway. Set to open in 2026, the terminal will serve leading international airlines, including: Air France, KLM, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, EVA Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air, Royal Air Maroc, Air China, China Airlines, EGYPTAIR, and many more.

The terminal will feature six lounges, overall. These include four airline-branded lounges representing all three global alliances as well as these two independent lounges operated by Plaza Premium Group.

Pascal Belanger, Senior Vice President, Americas at Plaza Premium Group, said:

We are proud to bring Plaza Premium Group’s experience to JFK’s New Terminal One, marking an important milestone for our presence in the US. With Plaza Premium First, Plaza Premium Lounge, and our ALLWAYS Meet & Assist service, we can offer travelers a seamless, elevated experience from curb to gate, while creating spaces that cater to the needs of discerning passengers. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to redefining airport hospitality and providing memorable experiences for every traveler who passes through this world-class gateway.”

Anthony’s Take: Plaza Premium has some nice lounges across the country. I’m excited to see what they bring to JFK.
