A male British Airways flight attendant was arrested at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) after flight BA284 touched down from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on May 24th. The flight attendant reportedly went on a drug-fueled party binge while in San Francisco and allegedly showed up on the Airbus A380 in no condition to work. He supposedly stripped all of this clothes off and danced throughout the Club World (Business Class) cabin.
Passengers were given quite the show as crew forced the man into First Class pajamas and then buckled him into an empty seat for the long flight back to London. The flight attendant was reported to British Airways management and has been suspended while an investigation is conducted. Conflicting stories say that he consumed some form of drugs before or during the flight. The man received medical attention before being arrested.
Anthony’s Take: Passengers misbehave all the time, but crew are usually much more in check. We’ve seen pilots show up drunk and subsequently pulled from service. This is the first time I remember a flight attendant stripping down due to substance use while in flight.
