It might surprise many people, but one of the hardest hotel brands to find these days is Hyatt. I’m not talking about Hyatt Centric, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, or any of the other 37 brands. I am referencing hotels that fly solely under the Hyatt Hotel flag. In the United States it looks like there is the Hyatt Grand Central New York (this was a Grand Hyatt pre-pandemic), Hyatt Palm Springs, and Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Chicago. The Hyatt Rosemont Chicago O’Hare is now the Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare and with the name change another true Hyatt bit the dust.

Hyatt Centric ORD

The Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare is now open and offers easy access to the Rosemont Theatre, Rivers Casino, the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center, Allstate Arena, Impact Field, the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The renovated property features open following a highly anticipated revitalization project. Managed by Maverick Hotels & Restaurants, the property features 206 guestrooms, a fitness center, complimentary airport shuttle services, a full-service restaurant, covered parking, and more.

To celebrate the official reopening, the Hyatt Centric Chicago O’Hare has a special rate that offers two French 75 cocktails, Chicago’s iconic Garrett Popcorn, Vosges Haut-Chocolat, Cotton-candy flavored jellybeans, a commemorative Chicago World’s Fair postcard, and a tote bag. The offer is valid through December 2025 and can be booked here.

Anthony’s Take: It’s crazy that there are so few Hyatt Hotels left. The brand seems to be phasing out in favor of Hyatt’s many others. The reflagged Hyatt Centric looks like a good choice if you need to be in Rosemont or near the airport.
