Earlier this month, I wrote about all of the new international destinations that United is adding to its schedule next year. One of the more interesting adds is Greenland’s Nuuk Airport (GOH), which starts on June 14th. Greenland is not far from the United States, but it used to be difficult to get there. Europe was also fairly disconnected from the Danish-controlled Greenland as well. Today, SAS announced that it’s also adding seasonal flights to Nuuk Airport (GOH) on June 27th.

SAS will fly 3x weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Copenhagen Airport (CPH). It has been more than two decades since SAS last flew there.

Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS, said:

We’re thrilled to enhance connectivity between Greenland, Scandinavia and destinations worldwide through our SkyTeam alliance. This new route meets the rising demand for unique, adventurous travel experiences, while reinforcing Copenhagen’s position as a key hub for Scandinavian connections worldwide.”

National Geographic recently named Greenland as one of the 25 best places to travel in 2025. With the new flights from United and SAS, it will be accessible for travelers across the United States and Europe with one connection.

Anthony’s Take: Greenland is turning out to be one of the hot destinations for 2025. I’m considering taking the new United flight and checking it out.
