Nashville International Airport (BNA) currently has only one flight to Europe. British Airways offers daily service to/from London Heathrow Airport (LHR). This might soon change with a second route added to the map and flown by Discover Airlines.

Discover Airlines, formerly known as Eurowings Discover, is a German leisure airline and part of the Lufthansa Group. The Nashville Business Journal reported yesterday that the airline is looking to add flights between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA). The flights if approved would run 3x weekly beginning in May 2025 using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. These feature 22 Business Class, 17 Premium Economy, and 224 Economy Class seats.

Discover Destinations

Discover currently serves six cities in the United States, including:

  • Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  • Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)
  • Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
  • Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Anthony’s Take: I frequently see Discover’s planes at Tampa International Airport (TPA) and will take a flight on the German carrier one of these months.  I’m glad Discover is adding more US cities to complement those flown by the other airlines in the Lufthansa Group.
