I am flying this morning from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and am reporting back on the scene from Terminal B. While the TSA PreCheck line took 15 minutes, the regular security line was wrapped around Terminal B and outside the building.

The TSA PreCheck® line was moving quickly. All facets of security were staffed with a combination of TSA and ICE agents. It seemed like the TSA agents were training the ICE agents to check IDs and load bins while they worked the metal detectors and scanned bags.

The regular line had no end and people were huddled in a mass that was slowly moving. TSA PreCheck® can be reimbursed by a host of credit cards. Even if you don’t have one, consider buying the service if you have any travel plans in the near future.

Anthony’s Take: I thank the TSA agents that showed up for continuing to work and hope that they are able to be paid sometime soon. These folks have bills, families to support, and need a way to make a living. We’ll see how much longer this drags on in airports across the United States.
