A double shooting at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) took the lives of two men last night in what police are investigating as a murder suicide. The incident occurred after the two men were seen arguing outside the airport according to ABC local affiliate WBRZ News.
Law enforcement was on the scene moments after the shooting occurred. Police currently have no motive and have not released the names of either individual. Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is near a local prison, but there has been no word that this incident was connected in any way. Sally Ride Avenue between the airport and Veterans Memorial Boulevard was blocked off while the investigation was in progress. The airport was not locked down and operations were not impacted.
