Marriott has renovated and reopened the Le Méridien Bora Bora as the Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa. I stayed at this property back in 2015 and thought it was gorgeous then.

The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa has 128 overwater bungalows with many including a private pool (this resort has more bungalows than any other in Bora Bora). All of the bungalows have views of Mount Otemanu and the property’s lagoon (the picture above that I took in 2015 shows this incredible landscape).

César Marques, General Manager of The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa, said:

We are excited to unveil this property as the first resort to open in Bora Bora since 2017, bringing the dream of Bora Bora alive like never before. he Westin Bora Bora blends the serene landscape of the island with top-tier accommodations, breathtaking ocean views, and a wide array of on- and off-property experiences, ensuring an unforgettable stay for every guest.”

The resort includes an infinity pool with six cabanas, a swim-up pool bar, a private lagoon, a Heavenly Spa, a Westin Workout Fitness Studio, six dining venues that including French Polynesian dishes.

Anthony’s Take: We loved staying at this resort under its prior flag. The renovations look great and the property feels otherworldly with turtles, sharks, and more swimming by your bungalow.
