Loungepedia launched its app today and I’m finding it intuitive and easy to use. Once downloaded and configured with elite status levels and credit cards held, the app tells you which lounges you have access to at a given airport.
I spent some time checking out airports that I will be flying to and from in the next few weeks. I like that when I click an airport, I’m immediately shown all of the lounges with those that I can enter in green and those I can’t in red. This works well with airline lounges, but it did get a little stuck on some operated by credit card providers.
For example, I entered that I have a Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, but when I look at the lounge options at Washington Reagan International Airport (DCA) it shows me as not having access to the awesome Capital One Landing there. This is a minor issue and one that I expect will be fixed in time, but a tad annoying nonetheless.
The app touts the following benefits:
- Personalized Lounge Access: Add your credit cards and elite status levels to the app, and Loungepedia will instantly show you which lounges you can access worldwide.
- Seamless Rewards Integration: Maximize your rewards and elite status by knowing exactly where you can relax before a flight
- Comprehensive Lounge Listings: Browse a curated list of airport lounges with details on locations, amenities, and opening hours.
- User-Friendly Interface: Designed intuitively to make lounging effortless
I like that you do not need to enter credit card numbers or link the app to an airline program for elite status. There is also no sign up or cost for the app and it’s a tool that will become part of my regular routine.

Anthony’s Take: This new app provides an easy way to figure out what lounges a passenger can access. It will pull up the airports closest to you and is pretty comprehensive. It’s also free. Download Loungepedia from the App Store.
