I was in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) briefly this week on a business trip. While heading back home to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), I had the chance to check out The Club at CVG. The Club airport lounges operate 26 lounges across airports in the United States, Hong Kong, Peru, and the United Kingdom. I loved the location at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) (review here), but found the one at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to be quite depressing (review here). This location fell somewhere between them with a skew towards the positive. The staff was friendly and there was a nice buffet. The lounge is small, but did not feel overly crowded during my visit.

Access

This lounge is open to Priority Pass and Lounge Key members. Those without memberships can purchase access for $50. Infants under the age of 2 years are allowed complimentary access with an adult. All other children are charged the same rate as adult if paying. Access is allowed up to three hours before a departing flight. A desk was located straight ahead upon entering to check credentials.

Anthony’s Take: The Club at CVG offers a good spot to relax or work before a flight when departing from Concourse A. The lounge is the only one in Concourse A (while Concourse B has the Escape Lounge – The Centurion® Studio Partner (review here) and the Delta Sky Club® (review here) as options). This is my least favorite of the three, but it was still fine for a snack and to use the Wi-Fi.

Bar

There is no bar in the lounge. Alcoholic beverages can be requested and will be brought to you. A coffee machine and soda machine were near the food.

Food

Breakfast was being served when I arrived, but this shifted to lunch during my visit. This buffet had a hot dish, breads, grits, fruit, yogurt, and cereal for breakfast. This changed to a hot dish, soup, salad, snacks, and dessert for lunch. I did not eat anything as I was not hungry. The menu is limited, but well presented with a Kentucky theme.

Seating & Decor

There is a good amount of seating packed into this lounge. There are tables, comfy chairs, and counters that serve as workstations around the room. A second alcove offered more seats. There is some art around the lounge and it felt like a conference room with more nods to Kentucky.

Amenities

The Club at CVG offers free Wi-Fi, a departure board (pictured above), power outlets, seating, and the food and beverages mentioned above.

Overall Impression:

This lounge gets the job done. I liked the friendly and efficient staff as well as the little touches in food and decor to remind you of where you are.
