For the next leg of our trip, we were flying from Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Podgorica Airport (TGD) on Air Montenegro. The airline does not provide lounge access, but I could enter thanks to the Plaza Premium Lounge access granted through Priority Pass. It’s a nice space and we really enjoyed the pasta for lunch before our flight.
Anthony’s Take: This lounge was modern, comfortable, and provided a nice lunch spread. We enjoyed the meal and left filled with carbs from the multiple pasta options. The Plaza Premium Lounge has showers, a pay bar (soft drinks are free), Wi-Fi, and lots of space. I would definitely return in the future.
Access
Access is granted to passengers flying in Business Class on Air Canada, Air Serbia, American Airlines, Asiana Airlines, Bulgaria Air, China Southern Airlines, EL AL, Etihad, Hainan Airlines, or Iran Air. Additionally, those with memberships from Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and DragonPass are also granted entry. The lounge also offers paid access. Walk-in rates ( for a two-hour visit) run €53 (~$57). If you prebook online with Plaza Premium, the cost drops to €38 per guest. A desk to check credentials is on the right side upon entering the lounge.
Bar
There was a large bar in the center of the lounge. Alcoholic beverages were for sale there. There were also coffee machines for baristas/bartenders to make coffee and a self-serve one as well. Soft drinks were available near the buffet.
Coffee can be requested at the bar.
Juice dispensers were at the end of the bar.
The self-serve coffee machine was near the hot buffet. Tea and condiments were also found here.
Two soda machines were next to the coffee machine.
There was also a water dispenser.
Food
Lunch/dinner was being served during our visit. The buffet is split into two parts. One has several hot dishes and soup. The other has salad ingredients and desserts.
Chicken Meatballs
Penne with Pesto Cream Sauce
Penne Arrabiata
There were also several dishes of beans and vegetables.
Warm bread
Rice
Butternut Pumpkin Soup
Bread
Salad ingredients
Cookies and fresh fruit
Various desserts
Seating & Decor
The design of the lounge is modern. It has lots of seating separated into several rooms with various seating types for working and relaxing. We had no problem getting a seat as the lounge was fairly empty during our visit.
Cubicles for working
Tables around the buffet
More workstations
Seating near the entrance
Etihad passengers had their own designated/roped-off area.
Clocks near the check-in desk
There were some plants nearby.
I liked this art. There were a few similar pieces around the lounge.
Amenities
This lounge offers free Wi-Fi, restrooms, TVs, departure boards (one pictured above), showers, and the food and beverages mentioned above.
Showers are complimentary, but were all booked during my visit.
Overall Impression:
This lounge was the perfect spot before our short flight to Montenegro. It was spacious and I can’t say enough about how well the pasta hit the spot (even departing Italy after eating tons of pasta for several days in a row).
