I have raved about the Capital One Landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) (review here) since it opened last year. The spaces feel like trendy restaurants and offer great amenities and delicious food. You won’t be jockeying for a table or huddled around a crowded buffet here as all food is either picked up at a counter or delivered after being ordered with a QR code. The Capital One Landing at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is more than double its counterpart in Washington DC, but offers the same warm look and feel. I was excited to get to try this one out.
The Capital One Landing at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is 12,500 square feet and located post-security in the airport’s Terminal B (on the bridge to Gates 11 to 31). It’s open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Access
Access to the Capital One Landings is the same as the lounges. Capital One has stated that Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business primary cardholders will have unlimited access. Guests cost $45 per visit. Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business cardholders can purchase access for $45. as well All other cardholders and non-customers can enter for $90. Children under age two can enter for free with a supervising parent or guardian. Access to all amenities is included with lounge entry.
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders can make reservations in the Capital One app in advance (whether it’s several months or one day before) of their visit. I already made another reservation for next month. All Capital One cardholders will be able to see the real-time capacity of the Landing from the convenience of their phone.
If a Capital One Landing is on a waitlist, Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders can join the waitlist digitally in the Capital One mobile app. They will be notified via text message when it’s their turn to enter the Landing, and can view their waitlist status within the Capital One app at any time. There is a 15-minute grace period for reservations and you may make as many as you like without a cancellation penalty. I was lucky enough to walk right in and the Capital One Landing was quite empty during my visit.

When you arrive, a host will check you in and take you to your assigned table.

A QR code on the table has the menus and allows you to order as much food and as many drinks as you desire.
Anthony’s Take: I loved this concept at its original location and love this one as well. José Andrés is an incredible chef and humanitarian. His partnership here takes this to another level. The service was great, the restrooms are nice, and I loved that I was brought to a table without having to scrounge around to find an open seat. I can’t wait to go back next month.

Bar
There is a bar in the front room next to the tapas counter and a second in the back room. They offer a good selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. There is actually no need to go to the bar as beverages can be ordered through the QR code on the table.

Here is the drink menu.

Self-serve soft drinks were found in two cases around the restaurant. Servers also offered to bring us drinks. Coffee and water dispensers were also found here.

Food
Breakfast was being served during my visit. There are two tapas counters that offer some small items and desserts. All other dishes are ordered via your phone and brought to your table.

Pastries and breads

Lox & Cristal Bagels

Avocado Montadito

Fresh fruit, Overnight Oatmeal, Yogurt & Granola

I took a bagel and went to my table.

As mentioned, all other food is ordered via QR code.

Here is the menu.

I ordered a Piña Passion Juice, which was fresh and tasty.

I also tried the Huevo Roto con Paleta Iberíca and the Olive Oil Pancakes. Both were delicious.

Seating & Decor
There are quite a few tables as well as bar seating here (spread across two rooms). The design is elegant.

You feel like you’re in a nice restaurant in a major city versus in an airport lounge.

I liked the art and decor throughout the space.
Amenities
This Capital One Landing offers free Wi-Fi, outlets at every table, private restrooms, luggage storage, and the food and beverages mentioned above.

The restrooms are private and were clean.

A chocolate was handed to each guest upon departure with the ask that they complete a survey from the QR code found on it.

Overall Impression:
The only lounge that has wowed me to this level in recent memory was the Delta One® Lounge at JFK (review here). Capital One has raised the bar and I’m glad that the New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) location also exceeded expectations.
