AREA15 is Las Vegas’ immersive and experiential art and entertainment district. It offers all sorts of virtual reality experiences, an arcade, and several other experiences (like my favorite, Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart). Soon, it will open a cocktail and dining experience inside a Boeing 747. I can’t wait to check that out.
One of Burning Man’s most iconic art pieces, a Boeing 747, is now onsite at AREA15. It measures 150 feet in length and 60 feet in width and will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind cocktail and dining experience. When complete it will accommodate 1,300 guests and be a fun part of the ever-expanding AREA15.
The Boeing 747 was purchased by the late Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh after it appeared at Burning Man in 2017. He brought it to Las Vegas with plans to turn it into a party venue. In 2022, Joshua Levine, the late founder of Fired Up Management and original curator of AREA15’s open-air Art Island gallery, acquired it for AREA15. This Boeing 747 is one of the few that have been preserved and is available to the public.
Winston Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of AREA15, said:
The iconic journey that this aircraft has taken symbolized the monumental expression of the fusion between art, technology and experiential entertainment that defines AREA15. Once the centerpiece of the world’s most avant-garde festival, this installation will now be permanently integrated into the AREA15 ecosystem, offering an entirely new way to experience nightlife and events in Las Vegas.”
I first went to AREA15 when it opened in 2020. The Boeing 747 will be part of AREA15’s 20-acre expansion, which will include Universal Horror Unleashed (can’t wait), the Museum of Ice Cream’s largest flagship location, Felix & Paul Studios’ Interstellar Arc, The Escape Game, iFLY Indoor Skydiving, Dolls Kill, and more.
Anthony’s Take: AREA15 is so much fun and this Boeing 747 (plus, Universal Horror Unleashed) will have me back there as soon as these attractions open.

Damn. I’m going to OmegaMart late this month and will probably miss this. Superb addition though, innovative and fun.
