Kimpton announced today that the brand has opened the Kimpton Main Frankfurt. This is the brand’s first hotel in Germany and the latest addition to Kimpton’s growing global portfolio that includes recently announced properties in Marbella and the Algarve. The hotel is located in the financial district inside the former Deutsche Bank headquarters and features vibrant colors along with a Bauhaus-inspired design.
The hotel offers 155 guest rooms and suites that draw inspiration from the 20th-century Bauhaus design movement. Bauhaus blurred the lines between art, craft, and design while championing functionality, simplicity, and mass production. It’s characterized by geometric shapes, minimal ornamentation, and modern materials such as steel and glass. This is carried throughout the reimagined space that offers minimalist design along with chrome, crystal, velvet, marble, and mahogany.
Amenities include a fitness center along with in-room yoga mats and complimentary bikes, as well as three food and beverage outlets including MAY (the lobby bar for craft cocktails), ANNI (a modern European brasserie), and LAZULI (the rooftop space for Mediterranean dishes and drinks with sunset views).
Ronald Hoogerbrugge, General Manager at Kimpton Main Frankfurt, said:
We are thrilled to open the doors to Kimpton Main Frankfurt, our very first Kimpton hotel in Germany. Here, we invite guests to dive into our playful and sophisticated take on hospitality. Our passionate team is dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences—whether you’re here for work, play, or a little bit of both.
In true Kimpton style, we believe that the best connections happen over a delicious cup of coffee or a perfectly crafted cocktail. That’s why our lively social spaces, rooftop bar, and restaurants are the heartbeat of our hotel. With stylish accommodations and a deep connection to the city, Kimpton Main Frankfurt isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place to be inspired and create lasting memories.”
The Kimpton Main Frankfurt is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts and participates in the IHG® One Rewards program. Redemptions at the hotel range from around 28,000 to 79,000 points nightly and paid rates are between €162 and €308 per night.
Anthony’s Take: It’s good to see another choice in Frankfurt. Kimpton is a fun brand that mixes its avante-garde style with a bit of luxury. I like that the footprint is continuing to expand.
