JSX is doubling down on its pet-friendly positioning with Petco as a new national partner. The collaboration is designed to elevate the travel experience for furry companions. The public charter carrier will introduce phased VIP (very important pet) amenities beginning next month.
Unlike traditional airlines, JSX operates as a public charter carrier. It sells seats on scheduled routes and uses private-terminal-style facilities that mimic elements of semi-private aviation. These smaller, more controlled environments appeal to travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and flexibility (including passengers flying with pets). JSX already maintains one of the most permissive pet policies in commercial aviation by allowing dogs and cats up to 80 pounds in the cabin for a $100 pet fee. Service animals are exempt from the pet cap, but emotional support animals are classified as pets.

The partnership does not alter JSX’ core pet policies. but adds amenities designed to make the experience more inclusive and seamless across the terminal and cabin environment. Beginning next month, passengers will see limited-edition JSX x Petco bandanas, curated treats, travel-themed cookies, and complimentary loaner gear such as carriers and leashes. Educational content from Petco will also help families prepare pets for flying.
From April 2026, JSX will add in-flight snacks for dogs and cats from Petco’s WholeHearted brand. Later in the spring, the carrier will begin installing Petco-sponsored pet relief stations networkwide. JSX will also mark the partnership visually by painting two aircraft in a Petco-branded livery and by hosting charitable adoption events in collaboration with Petco Love.

In a move that further sets the charter operator apart, JSX will expand its Club JSX loyalty program to track pet travel. Passengers can create sub-profiles for pets that accrue rewards alongside their human companions. These points can be pooled.
