JetBlue will introduce daily, nonstop flights between New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) on March 30th. This route is being added to give Cleveland residents easy access to one-stop connections to Florida, the Caribbean, Europe, and more. JetBlue currently flies between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
Flights on the new route will be operated using Airbus A220 aircraft that offer 140 seats. Customers can expect free Fly-Fi Wi-Fi, seatback entertainment, as well as complimentary snacks and beverages. Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, said:
New York is not only a great destination and business hub, but it’s now another JetBlue gateway for Clevelanders and Northeast Ohioans. With our new route, Cleveland customers can choose what works best for them, unlocking even more access to JetBlue’s growing leisure network.”
JetBlue has been bringing its focus back to what made the airline stand out when it launched: leisure routes. These new flights will help to fill seats to destinations like Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, Punta Cana, Aruba, Cancun, and many others.
Anthony’s Take: It’s good to see JetBlue continuing to build out its network with flights that can help fill planes to leisure destinations. American, Delta, and United all fly between Cleveland and the three NYC airports, so there will be some more competition here when this launches.
