JetBlue announced this evening that it will be offering special flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) for Super Bowl LIX. This is in addition to JetBlue’s regularly scheduled service from New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) (it’s also adding additional frequencies on February 7th, 8th, and 10th).
Flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will run on February 7th and return flights from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) are offered on February 10th. These will run 2x each on these days. New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will see an additional flight to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) on February 7th and 8th. It will add three additional flights back on February 10th.
JetBlue bills itself as New York’s Hometown Airline® and it’s the leading East Coast leisure carrier. With deep roots in New York, JetBlue is ready to connect fans to the ultimate football experience from both of these New York City airports.
Anthony’s Take: It seems like all of the carriers are going to be adding flights to the Super Bowl. It’s interesting to see JetBlue add flights from New York versus Philadelphia or Kansas City.
