JetBlue Airways announced today that it will open lounges in 2025 at its hubs at New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Terminal 5 in late 2025 and at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) in Terminal C. This has long been on the wishlists of many of JetBlue’s elite members and Mint flyers.
The new lounges will allow JetBlue to offer a new Signature Perk to its top level TrueBlue Mosaic ® members in the form of lounge access and a benefit to the new premium credit card that JetBlue is announcing soon.
Access
JetBlue’s lounges will be reserved primarily for its most loyal customers and premium credit cardmembers. Complimentary access to the lounges will be available to the following customers:
- Holders of a new premium JetBlue credit card
- TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members
- Transatlantic Mint customers
TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and the new premium JetBlue credit cardmembers will also receive complimentary access for an accompanying guest. Day passes and guest passes will be available for purchase by additional eligible customers based on space availability. All customers will be able to purchase an annual pass, making the lounges accessible to even more travelers seeking to get the most out of their award-winning JetBlue experience. JetBlue will share more details about the lounge access policy in the future.
New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
The New York City lounge in Terminal 5 will open in late 2025. It will offer guests 8,000 total square feet to relax, eat, and work before flights. The Boston lounge will be larger at 11,000 square feet. Both spaces will use JetBlue’s signature color palette and regional art to enhance the spaces. JetBlue is dividing its lounges into three areas:
- Play: The bar area with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on offer.
- Work: Private workspaces with free Wi-Fi, outlets, and free barista-made coffee drinks.
- Lounge: Complimentary food and beverage offerings and lots of seating options.
Marty St. George, President of JetBlue, said:
Customers have asked for a JetBlue lounge for years and we can’t wait to unveil our take in New York and Boston. Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards. Customers love the JetBlue experience, so we’re pulling through those thoughtful touches you find onboard our flights into the lounge experience.”
Details around the name for the lounges and what they’ll look like have not been released. JetBlue’s premium credit card also has no additional details available. These enhancements are all part of JetBlue’s “JetForward” initiative. It includes a $400 million investment between 2025 and 2027 to enhance and expand the airline’s premium products.
Better Perks for Top-Tier Elites
In addition to lounge access, TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members will also see improvements to the Move to Mint Signature Perk. Beginning in 2025, Mosaic members who have earned 250 tiles will receive two additional Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles they earn. This provides more opportunities to move into the front cabin on flights offering JetBlue’s premium product. Even better, these certificates will now be valid longer. Travel will no longer need to be completed by your Move to Mint certificate’s expiration date (it will just need to be applied to a booking by that date). Changes are not permitted on or after the expiration date.
Anthony’s Take: This is exciting news for JetBlue’s top-tier elites, regular flyers, and those traveling in its Mint (Business Class) on transatlantic flights. I can’t wait to see more details and renderings.
