JetBlue is continuing to strengthen its presence across Upstate and Western New York with the launch of three new nonstop routes beginning in March. The airline announced upcoming service from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) to both Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) (3x weekly; starts on March 26th) and San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) (3x weekly; starts on March 27th), as well as new service between Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The expansion highlights JetBlue’s continued commitment to growing its footprint in the region while offering travelers more convenience and more destinations.
These additions follow JetBlue’s recently announced plan to launch service between Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). The new routes reflect a clear strategy: expanding low fares and high-quality service throughout New York to top leisure destinations.

With the new flights, customers in Buffalo and Syracuse will have greater access to warm-weather getaways and vibrant Caribbean destinations. The new routes also build on JetBlue’s long-standing presence in the region (where the airline continues to invest in better travel options for residents and visitors alike).
To mark the introduction of the new routes, JetBlue is offering limited-time introductory fares, now available for booking. These one-way fares include:
- Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) to Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) starting at $59
- Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) to San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) starting at $99
- Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting at $59
Anthony’s Take: JetBlue is going back to its routes and focusing on leisure routes where it can command some passengers. It’s good to see additions like these as JetBlue figures out what’s next.
