JetBlue announced plans to further expand its Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) hub with the launch of new year-round nonstop service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). These will come along with additional flights to New York as JetBlue reinforces its position as the largest carrier at the South Florida airport.

The airline will introduce 2x daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) beginning on May 21st. Daily nonstop service to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will begin March 12th and continue year-round (this was originally a seasonal route addition).

JetBlue will also add two additional daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) based on strong demand from New Yorkers wanting to head down to Florida. This announcement builds on JetBlue’s continued expansion in Florida. Last year, the airline moved to serve 10 Florida destinations in 2026 with Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) scheduled to launch on March 5th. JetBlue has also outlined its largest-ever Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) schedule with 113 daily departures and 46 nonstop destinations in December (including expanded service to Latin America, the Caribbean, and major US markets).

Dave Jehn, Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships at JetBlue, said:

These additions reflect the momentum we’ve built in Florida and our continued investment in Fort Lauderdale as a key gateway in our network. By connecting our focus cities and expanding successful routes, we’re giving customers more reasons to choose JetBlue for travel within Florida and beyond.”

JetBlue has also increased availability of its premium Mint experience in both Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). It plans to open a dedicated Mint inflight crewmember base in Fort Lauderdale later this year to support continued growth.

Anthony’s Take: It’s great to see JetBlue going back to what it did best: travel to leisure destinations. This should help strengthen it for whatever is next (I still see United acquiring the airline in the future).
