JetBlue Airways announced today that it’s adding two returning routes from its Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) hub. Flights to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Guayaquil’s Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) will both begin in July.
Both routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft that offers complimentary snacks and drinks, high-speed Fly-Fi® internet, and seatback entertainment at every seat. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will run 2x daily starting on July 3rd and Guayaquil’s Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) will see daily flights begin on July 17th.
Daniel Shurz, Head of Revenue, Network, and Enterprise Planning at JetBlue, said:
As JetBlue continues to build the best East Coast leisure network, we are offering customers more value, choice and convenience. With direct access from Philadelphia and Guayaquil via Fort Lauderdale, we’re not only making it easier for more customers to get to their favorite vacation destination, but also to connect with their family and friends, all while strengthening JetBlue’s position as a preferred carrier in South Florida.”
As with all routes added to its map, JetBlue is offering a limited-time sale on tickets for these flights. Fares start as low as $69 and $119 (one way) respectively.
Anthony’s Take: JetBlue is continuing to return to its routes with a focus on its hubs and leisure routes. There is still a long way for the airline to go, but it seems to be making progress.
