Back in July, I wrote about how Aeromexico was resuming nonstop service between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Mexico City’s Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez (MEX). It had been almost 30 years since this route was last flown. We were last there in 2018 and I’m excited to go back. Mexico City is a great place for food and culture. We plan to eat our way through the city and already booked tickets to the Frida Kahlo Museum.

Mexico City is the capital and largest city in Mexico. It’s also North America’s most populous city. Mexico City is located in the Valley of Mexico within the high Mexican central plateau, at an altitude of 7,350 feet (this is around the altitude of Machu Picchu, but far less than Cusco where we suffered from altitude sickness).

Andaz Mexico City

We’re staying at the Andaz Mexico City Condesa and I have heard nothing but great things about this hotel and the neighborhood it’s in. I’ll provide a full review of the hotel, flights, and more on my return.

Anthony’s Take: Other than the hotel and museum, we have nothing booked. I’m always open to suggestions. Do you have any recommendations for Mexico City?
