With this new route, Icelandair will tie Nashville International Airport (BNA) to more than 30 cities in Europe with one connection. Icelandair will fly to the following US cities:
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
- Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)
- Portland International Airport (PDX)
- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Earlier this month, I wrote that Nashville International Airport (BNA) was rumored to be getting its second European destination. Discover Airlines seemed like it was going to be adding flights from Frankfurt Airport (FRA).
Today has been a big day for Icelandair news. Earlier today, I wrote about the new partnership that is launching with Southwest Airlines as part of its transformation (more here).
Anthony’s Take: Iceland is a beautiful country and easy to get to from the United States. Icelandair is adding its 14th US route and Nashville flyers will soon have another way to easily to get to Europe.
