Hyatt has expanded its lifestyle portfolio in the Caribbean with the debut of the Hyatt Centric brand in Puerto Rico. Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde is located in one of the island’s most sought-after neighborhoods and places guests steps from Isla Verde’s award-winning beach and within walking distance of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. The hotel is just five minutes from San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and offers convenient access to Old San Juan, El Yunque National Rain Forest, San Juan’s Financial District, and the Puerto Rico Convention District.

The opening follows a $30 million renovation of the former Verdanza Hotel. The Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde features 223 modern guestrooms and suites (many with city or partial ocean views). Drawing inspiration from Puerto Rico’s natural landscape, the design incorporates vibrant textures, local materials, and contemporary elements that reflect the island’s cultural spirit. V Architecture, 3MG, Baskerville, and EDSA led the architectural and design efforts.

Guests enjoy complimentary access and shuttle service to Vivo Beach Club. The oceanfront entertainment venue offers three pools, multiple dining options, a microbrewery, and an outdoor concert stage. On property, the hotel offers a resort-style pool and jacuzzi with an open-air bar and restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center, and a kid-friendly splash pad.
