For too long, people complained that Hyatt did not have a big enough footprint. It has made massive leaps and continues to add properties across the globe. One of the latest is the Hyatt Regency Zadar in Croatia. The hotel, located near the UNESCO-listed Old Town, just opened and provides a great option for tourists heading to beautiful Croatia this summer.
The hotel offers guests sea views, a unique fusion of historic architecture and contemporary design, and a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere. The property is located near Zadar Airport (ZAD), national parks, and other attractions like the Roman Forum and St. Donatus’ church.
Hyatt Regency Zadar has 133 rooms and suites with each offering panoramic views of the sunset and the Adriatic Sea.
Amenities include four food and beverage outlets plus a market, the Lavender Spa, a beach experience with private cabanas, a fitness center, a pool, and around 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Michel Morauw, Managing Director, North at Hyatt, said:
As our first Hyatt-branded hotel in Croatia, today’s opening underlines our continued commitment to our brand growing strategically in the destinations sought-after by our guests and World of Hyatt members, differentiating our impressive portfolio that caters to the evolving needs and choices of travelers. The Balkans is a priority growth area for us, and a destination we are seeing grow in popularity for business and leisure travelers looking to experience both beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage.”
The Hyatt Regency Zadar is a Category 4 hotel. Points redemptions range from 12,000 to 18,000 per night. Cash rates run around $300 to $350 most nights.
Anthony’s Take: I’ve been to Split, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and across a lot of Croatia, but never to Zadar. The hotel looks beautiful and is now on my list.
