I had to be in Atlanta for a business dinner and wanted a hotel near the restaurant. The Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter was less than a half mile from where I needed to be and proved to be a good choice. The hotel feels modern, is well maintained, and my suite could have held a family with plenty of space to spare (it had two king-sized beds).
Anthony’s Take: The hotel was calm and I loved the wooded area around it. It has plenty of common space for working and relaxing. My suite was enormous. While it was not the most luxurious, it got the job done and was more than enough for me for a quick, one-night trip.
Booking
I booked a 2 King Beds, 1-Bedroom, 2-Room Suite as that was the only option when I made my reservation on a “Member Flexible Rate.” It was $299 per night including taxes and fees. Marriott did away with award charts a few years ago, but redemptions for a standard room can be had for between 30,000 and 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points.
Transportation to/from the Hotel
I took an Uber Comfort from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to the hotel and back the next day to head home. The ride there took more than an hour (it’s around 32.7 miles) and cost $71. Departing, the ride was a little shorter and cost $62.
Location
The hotel is near the Perimeter Mall, but is quite a distance from downtown Atlanta. If you need to be in the area like I did, it works well. If you’re looking for a hotel in Atlanta proper this is not the place for you as it’s actually in Dunwoody, GA. I loved all of the lush greenery around the hotel.
The lobby was large and it had tons of seating options.
There was quite a lot of seating around the bar.
Separate rooms down the hall provided even more options.
Check-In
I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 PM. The check-in desk was to the right of the entrance. My suite was ready, which I appreciated. I was asked if I needed a late checkout and I declined as I was out the door the next morning around 8:00 AM. I chose points as my welcome amenity for being Titanium Elite as I would not have time for breakfast. I had my keys printed a moment later and was on my way.
Water was offered by the front desk.
The elevators are across the lobby and down a bit of a hallway.
There were more seats near the elevators.
The elevator lobby and hallways on my floor were clean and in good repair.
I noticed that there was a closed lounge on my floor. I’m not sure how long it has been closed, but it did not have any hours posted and was not mentioned at check-in.
2 King Beds, 1-Bedroom, 2-Room Suite (1221)
There are 275 rooms including 143 suites at the hotel.
The suite opened with a table and a refrigerator to the right.
The refrigerator was empty.
An illy coffeemaker, coffee pods, and condiments were on the counter.
An ice bucket and bottled water were nearby.
A couch and ottoman filled part of the huge room.
A TV was set up on a cabinet across from the couch.
A desk and chair were near the window.
The view was quite calming.
To the left of the living room area was the bedroom. It was also massive with two king-sized beds.
A chair and lamp were near the window.
A TV was across from the beds.
A wardrobe was located near the bathroom. It contained a luggage rack and steamer as well as an iron and ironing board.
The safe was also in here.
A full length mirror filled the nearby wall.
For as large as the living area and bedroom were, the bathroom was tiny. It contained a vanity with a single sink, toilet, and shower/tub combo.
The vanity offered a good amount of counter space.
A bar of MALIN+GOETZ brand soap and lotion were on the counter.
The toilet was tightly packed into the room.
I am not a fan of shower/tub combos. This one was fine with adequate water pressure and temperature.
More MALIN+GOETZ toiletries were mounted to the wall.
Public Areas & Amenities
The hotel has a fitness center, two restaurants, a business center, a small market near the front desk, a pool, and the seating pictured above.
The fitness center offered towels and a water dispenser.
There was a good amount of equipment and lots of natural light.
I appreciated that there were Peloton Bikes here.
The market near the front desk offered snacks and a refrigerated case filled with beverages.
The business center had more seating, a computer, and a printer for guest use.
The door to the pool was locked while I was there.
It looks like a nice place to relax when open.
Overall Impression:
The hotel and the suite were comfortable. They worked well for my short stay and I would return if in the area.
