Hilton has unveiled a new generative AI-powered digital concierge designed to help travelers discover destinations and plan hotel stays more easily. The new Hilton AI Planner (now available in beta on Hilton’s website) represents the company’s latest move to integrate artificial intelligence into the travel planning process.

The Hilton AI Planner uses conversational intelligence to provide real-time assistance to travelers as they search for hotels, explore destinations, and compare amenities across Hilton’s global portfolio. The tool allows users to ask questions and receive tailored recommendations, helping streamline the process of finding and booking the right property.

The company says the AI-powered system is designed to simplify travel discovery while delivering a more intuitive and personalized digital experience. Instead of relying solely on traditional search filters, the planner provides curated responses based on traveler preferences, helping users navigate options more efficiently.

Initially, the Hilton AI Planner is being introduced to a limited group of users visiting Hilton.com as part of a beta test. The company plans to gradually expand access as it gathers feedback and improves the system based on real customer interactions.

The launch reflects growing demand for AI-driven travel tools as travelers increasingly expect faster and more personalized planning experiences. Hilton says the new platform builds on its history of technology innovations aimed at improving the guest journey.

Previous digital initiatives introduced by the company include Digital Key, which allows guests to unlock hotel rooms using their smartphones, Connected Room technology that enables guests to personalize room settings, and Confirmed Connecting Room bookings that allow families and groups to guarantee adjacent rooms.

By analyzing how travelers interact with the AI planner, Hilton intends to continuously refine the system. Insights gathered from user behavior and feedback will help shape future updates, allowing the platform to anticipate guest needs, streamline booking decisions, and offer increasingly personalized recommendations.

Michael Leidinger, Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Hilton, said:

For decades, Hilton has been at the forefront of hospitality innovation – from the award-winning Hilton Honors app to the most widely available Digital Key and the industry-first Confirmed Connecting Room. The launch of the Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey to reimagine the travel experience for Hilton guests. This is just the beginning and a preview of where we’re going, as we continue to focus on providing thoughtful, purposeful innovation that empowers travelers.”

Anthony’s Take: The Hilton AI Planner is part of a broader strategy to expand Hilton’s digital ecosystem while exploring how generative AI can enhance travel planning and guest engagement. As the platform evolves, the company aims to deliver smarter tools that make discovering and booking Hilton properties faster, simpler, and more tailored to each traveler’s preferences. I love when companies integrate AI in a way that adds value and this looks like a good move for the hotel giant.
