In February 2024, I wrote about how Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) entered into a partnership. This strategic agreement ended the Hyatt deal that had been in place for a few years. Hilton continues to incorporate many of the SLH properties into its systems and continues to make properties bookable for both paid stays and award redemptions. With the latest additions, Hilton now offers access to SLH properties in 136 countries around the world.
Hilton Honors members can earn and redeem points at SLH properties. The benefits are aligned with what Hilton offers at its own luxury properties. Here is what is what members can expect based upon their status:
- Member: Guaranteed member discount, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, complimentary late checkout, bottled water or hydration per stay, no resort fees on reward stays
- Silver: All of the above, plus 20% Elite Tier Bonus, and 5th standard reward night free
- Gold: All of the above, plus 80% Elite Tier Bonus, complimentary breakfast (for two guests), and space-available upgrades
- Diamond: All of the above, plus 100% Elite Tier Bonus
Newly added hotels span the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. Some notable properties include: Angkor Village Hotel, an SLH Hotel in Cambodia, The Liming Bequia, an SLH Hotel in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Vila Planinka, an SLH Hotel in Slovenia, and Sundy Praia, an SLH Hotel in São Tomé and Principe. The full list of properties can be found here. Through its partnership, Hilton’s luxury footprint has expanded from 35 to 90 countries and its global presence has increased from 124 to 136 countries. Hilton Honors members have redeemed over 10 billion points for stays at SLH properties.
I redeemed Hilton Honors points for a Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) stay at the Nido, Mar-Bella Collection in Corfu, Greece (review here) and had a wonderful stay. I love this partnership and need to stay at more of these luxe and sometimes quirky hotels.
Anthony’s Take: I love many of the boutique hotels that are part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) and bookable through Hilton. I’m happy to see the list continues to grow as SLH provides access to places where Hilton (as well as Hyatt and Marriott) do not have footprints.
