Hampton by Hilton is known for its signature waffles and toppings. These have a cult following and die-hard fans have their favorite combos when staying at the hotels. In time for summer, the hotel chain is introducing Lemon Waffles (for a limited time).
The Wall Street Journal recently wrote about the cult following of the brand’s iconic make-your-own waffles. Hampton by Hilton is looking to shake things up this summer with this new addition. In the news release, it said:
Guests can dress up their lemon waffles with a drizzle of honey and a dollop of whipped cream, or smother in a sweet blueberry compote, marrying two of summer’s sweetest flavors. However you take your waffles, they’ll be served with a smile when you stay at Hampton by Hilton.
Lemon has been capturing hearts and tastebuds worldwide with its refreshing, zesty flavor, solidifying its place as a culinary darling. Chefs, bartenders, and home cooks alike are experimenting with this versatile citrus fruit in new and inventive ways. From tangy lemon curd tarts and lemon-infused cocktails to refreshing lemon sorbets and bold lemon pepper seasonings, this bright, summery flavor has taken the food world by storm. The new Hampton Lemon Waffle is the latest twist in this trend, offering bright citrus flavor that’s perfect for warm-weather mornings. Whether sweet or savory, lemon is leading a citrus renaissance that adds a burst of sunshine to any dish or drink. “
Anthony’s Take: Waffles are comfort food and closely associated with Hampton by Hilton. They have been smart in recent years to capitalize on this following and even had Paris Hilton making waffles as part of a marketing campaign.
