Frontier Airlines announced today that it’s adding two new routes to the map from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN).

The low-cost carrier will connect Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) 3x weekly starting on July 7th. On July 10th, Frontier will begin 2x weekly flights between Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). Fares on both routes are on sale starting at $49 one way (as Frontier generally does with new routes.

Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) fascinates me. Frontier Airlines is the only airline that serves this New Jersey airport. It currently offers nonstop flights to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Orlando International Airport (MCO), and Tampa International Airport (TPA) with onward connections from those airports.

Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines, said:

From the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic, and down the Eastern Coast, we are thrilled to announce these new routes as we continue our mission to offer our ultra-low fares to more travelers in more destinations. We can’t wait for more consumers this summer to experience The New Frontier, proving that affordable air travel can also offer unmatched comfort and convenience.”

Anthony’s Take: It’s cool to see Trenton get another nonstop destination. My parents flew from there to visit me in Tampa a several years ago and found the airport super convenient.
