A Southwest Airlines flight turned into a screaming match after former MMA fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Aaron “Tex” Johnson was removed from the aircraft following a confrontation with another passenger and flight crew.

The incident reportedly began shortly after boarding. He got into an argument with another passenger. A flight attendant intervened and initially tried to defuse the situation calmly (but it quickly escalated). Multiple flight attendants and passengers shouted for Johnson to leave, with several screaming “Go!” as the verbal brawl intensified. Johnson, who is 6’1″ and known for his aggressive persona in the martial arts world, refused to comply. He can be seen shouting back and claiming that he “did nothing wrong” while challenging other passengers and crew.

Viral videos posted from inside the cabin show Johnson yelling as a much shorter, female flight attendant repeatedly demands that he exit the plane. At one point, she firmly shouts, “Get off my plane!” while continuing to move him toward the exit. Passengers applauded as Johnson was finally removed from the aircraft. Commenters suggest that Southwest has banned him from future flights, though the airline has not released an official statement.

Southwest ended its “two bags fly free” policy and is now charging many passengers for checked bags. This has led to more passengers carrying bags on board to avoid the fees and overhead bins becoming fuller than many have experienced on past Southwest flights.

Anthony’s Take: I’m not sure what transpired exactly before the video starts, but it’s clear by the reaction of passengers and crew arguing and then cheering after he departs that this former MMA fighter was the cause of the situation.

Isn’t a brawl where people actually hit each other? I clicked because of the headline out of fascinated horror and got some jerk getting yelled at by the crew.
