Last week, I wrote about Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) shutting down due to the ongoing conflict with Iran. This forced El Al to move its entire fleet from the airport and several US carriers to divert flights that were on the way to the airport. The airport remains shutdown with carriers extending the timeframe for cancellations to/from the airport.

El Al

Flights are suspended through June 19th.

Delta TLV

Delta Air Lines

Flights have been pulled from the schedule until September 1st.

United Travel Waiver

United Airlines

United is giving passengers flexibility through August 1st. Nonstop flights to/from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) are back on the schedule that day (let’s see if that gets pushed).

Arkia

Israeli low-cost carrier Arkia has flights scheduled for this week. I don’t see any travel notices, but check with the carrier before heading to the airport if you have a ticketed reservation. The airline is working to help bring back some of the more than 100,000 Israelis that are stranded outside of the country.

Several Middle Eastern and European airlines have flights booked to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) later this week. I have a feeling they’ll be cancelled.

Anthony’s Take: It’s probably best not to try to attempt to fly to Tel Aviv for the time being. The situation is just unfolding and there will likely be more bombing and chaos at the airport. Hoping that there is not too much destruction or loss of human life here.
