We visit my brother-in-law and his kids each year. They live near Providence, RI and we flew from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) on Breeze Airways. I had flown Breeze once before and was fine with the flight, overall (more here). This flight was much better. I’d go so far as to say it was one of the best domestic flights in recent memory. The service, seat, and experience was great (we even arrived 38 minutes early).
Anthony’s Take: I thoroughly enjoyed the Breeze Ascent experience. The seat was comfortable and I loved that Wi-Fi was fast and free. Snacks and beverages are complimentary. The flight attendants were friendly and we arrived early. If all Breeze flights run like this one, the carrier is a real winner. All of my complaints in my last review around boarding, Wi-Fi, and the cleanliness of the plane were not present on this flight.
Breeze offers three classes of service. These are: Economy (Nice), Economy with extra legroom (Nicer), and First Class (Nicest was recently rebranded as Ascent).
Booking
I booked directly with Breeze Airways and selected Ascent Class seats. There weren’t two together, so we were seated in 1D and 2D. These seats are in a 2-2 configuration. I paid around $400 for the two of us on a one-way fare. This was less than half the cost of what Delta and United wanted for a one-way ticket in First Class. The other classes are laid out in a 3-2 setup.
Boarding
Check in was fast on the app. We arrived at the gate a few minutes before the boarding time. Boarding was quick and painless. The gate agent made an announcement welcoming those with disabilities, active military, and families with children to board. No one moved. He then moved onto Boarding Group 1 and we boarded. It was an easy boarding even though the boarding pass reader was broken and he had to type in each one manually.
Seats
Legroom in the bulkhead was spacious. I’m six-foot-five inches tall and found the space plenty open.
The seats include 39 inches of pitch, recline, and also include a legrest in Ascent class. The legrest was too short for me, but some passengers might like the inclusion.
Buttons on the side of the seat controlled the legrest and recline. A full-sized tray table was in the center console.
Breeze gets bonus points for including USB, USB-C, and standard outlets.
The passenger service unit provides individual lights and air vents.
Food
The menu includes candy, chips, and a snack box (this is not included as a complimentary choice) as well as several soft drinks, beer, hard liquor, and wine.
I had a ginger ale and Peanut M&Ms.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi was free and fast. I worked throughout the entire flight.
In addition to Wi-Fi, Breeze offers on-demand entertainment. This consists of about two dozen movies, a bunch of various episodes of TV shows, and some shorts from YouTube. I didn’t watch anything, but this doesn’t seem to be updated too often as there were several holiday movies.
Lavatory
The lavatory was a standard airplane bathroom with a sink and toilet. It was clean and in good repair.
Service
Everyone we encountered was friendly and efficient. The flight attendant working up front made herself available throughout the flights and checked in on snacks and beverages.
Overall Impression: This was a great flight. We left early and arrived early. No complaints around service, seat comfort, Wi-Fi, or the entire experience. I’ll fly Breeze again and hope those flights are just like this one.

You said “ The other classes are laid out in a 3-3 setup.” It’s actually at 2-3 layout in the back of the plane (look at your picture of down the cabin).
You’re right. Fixed. Thanks!
