Fiji Airways just announced the launch of a new Pacific Rim-inspired menu as well as its first-ever Dine on Demand experience in Business Class. The new culinary offering (on select long-haul flights) showcases Fijian hospitality, world-class service, and cultural authenticity.
Dine on Demand is now available in Business Class on select routes. This personalized service allows guests to choose what they want to eat, when they want to eat it, and brings new flexibility to long-haul travel.
Meals are served on bone china dinnerware with white cotton linens and are freshly plated onboard by specially trained cabin crew for a restaurant-quality presentation. Each Business Class tray table is also adorned with a handcrafted Vau flower to celebrate Fijian artistry and craftsmanship.
The new Pacific Rim menu celebrates Fiji’s unique geographic location at the intersection of Asia, Oceania, and North America. The dishes blend Southeast Asian, Australian, and the flavors of the Pacific Islands. Signature Business Class dishes include:
- Grilled Mahi Mahi with Prawn Chili Oil
- Hamachi Crudo with Octopus and Ponzu
- Fijian Chicken Curry
- Roasted Cauliflower with Pacific Greens & Garlic Cream
- Salted Chocolate Crème with Pistachio and Caramelized Banana
- Kumquat Cheesecake
Complementing the menu is a refreshed beverage program that offers:
- Cold-pressed juices made in Fiji using tropical produce
- A curated wine list from New Zealand, Australia, and California
- Island-inspired cocktails and mocktails (made with Blue Turtle Gin Fiji and Fijian Bati Rum)
- Artisanal Fijian chocolate paired with premium coffee and tea selections
Economy Class guests will also see some thoughtful upgrades, including:
- Refreshed meal options
- New mocktail and cocktail offerings
- Hot chocolate, snacks, and beverages available throughout the journey
- Pre-arranged special meal options to accommodate dietary needs
These in-flight enhancements are part of a broader transformation strategy that positions Fiji Airways alongside the world’s leading carriers. The changes are being progressively introduced and will be fully rolled out across the network by July 2026. Fiji Airways joined oneworld® this year and it’s great to see it evolving its onboard offerings.
Anthony’s Take: These dishes sound delicious. I was supposed to go to Fiji years ago, but a typhoon cancelled those plans. I hope to get there some day.
