Edelweiss Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of SWISS and flies to more than 90 destinations. The airline just added a new US destination that will launch in June 2025: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

The flights will run 2x weekly on Mondays and Saturdays beginning on June 2nd. These flights will use Airbus A340-300 aircraft with 27 Business Class, 76 Economy Max, and 211 Economy Class seats. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will be Edelweiss Air’s fifth US destination. It also flies to:

  • Denver International Airport (DEN)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
  • San Diego International Airport (SAN)
  • Tampa International Airport (TPA)

I often see the planes parked in Tampa and want to take this flight to Zurich Airport (ZRH) one day. Only Tampa is a year-round destination with the other three being seasonal.

Anthony’s Take: Edelweiss adding Seattle surprised me as I figured the route was already flown by SWISS. SWISS flies to eight US cities, but it was not one of them.
