Delta Air Lines first flight between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) took off today. This is just one of the 700 weekly flights that Delta will offer to 33 European cities this summer.

The 3x weekly flights will be served with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. These offer 29 Delta One®, 28 Premium Select, 56 Comfort+, and 168 Economy Class seats. This new route complements Delta’s existing 12x weekly service to/from New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and increased 10x weekly service to/from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India, said:

Barcelona and Madrid aren’t just destinations, they’re vibrant gateways to everything Spain has to offer. From world-class cuisine and wine to flamenco rhythms and architectural wonders, these cities connect travelers to unforgettable adventures.”

Anthony’s Take: Barcelona is a wonderful city filled with great food, art, culture, and beaches. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in Spain and worth visiting (especially in the summer).
