Delta’s decision to expand its presence in Latin America is likely driven by the strong demand for leisure travel that has not seemed to settle down since the pandemic ended. Delta will begin flying all of these added Saturday routes on January 13th. All of these flights will operate on a mix of Boeing 757-200, 737-900 and 737-800 aircraft. They all feature First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
Anthony’s Take: There are so many choices for winter travel. I’m excited to have this many ways to get to the Caribbean from Delta as well as other airlines.

Does this mean that Delata cancelled JFK-GIG that was supposed to start in October?
I was focused on the Caribbean and Latin America here, but it looks like LATAM will fly that route and not Delta.
Thanks. Was afraid that they were cancelling it when Brazil announced that they are requiring US tourists to have visas again.
