Delta Air Lines is rolling out a spring refresh to its onboard food and beverage offerings, introducing new snacks, expanding dietary options, and updating its menus across cabins. The changes are designed to offer more variety, improve ingredient transparency, and better reflect evolving customer preferences according to the airline.

Delta Snacks

One of the most notable additions is a new gluten-free snack option. Starting April 1st, passengers on domestic flights will find MadeGood® Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars included in Delta’s complimentary snack lineup. The addition reflects a broader effort to accommodate dietary needs while maintaining simple, recognizable ingredients. With this update, Delta’s snack selection now includes four options, alongside existing favorites like Lotus Biscoff® cookies, SunChips®, and Cheez-It® crackers.

Delta Titos

Delta is also expanding its beverage offerings with the introduction of Tito’s Handmade Vodka (a Texas-based brand that has become one of the most requested spirits among passengers). The vodka will debut on domestic flights beginning April 1st with plans to expand to international routes later in the summer.

Beyond snacks and drinks, Delta is refreshing its onboard menus in premium cabins, including Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, and Delta First. New dishes include options such as classic French toast, roasted chicken salad, shrimp and grits, and spinach and ricotta ravioli. These additions aim to provide a balance of comfort food and elevated dining options.

Delta First Food

At the same time, popular items like the Shake Shack cheeseburger and Belgian-style waffles will remain available, ensuring continuity for returning travelers. Delta’s onboard updates are shaped heavily by feedback from both customers and flight attendants with a focus on delivering food and beverage options that are easy to enjoy in flight while meeting a range of preferences. The airline has emphasized simplicity, quality ingredients, and inclusivity as key priorities in its evolving onboard strategy.

The spring refresh is part of Delta’s ongoing effort to enhance the overall travel experience (particularly as airlines compete to differentiate themselves through onboard service). By expanding snack choices, introducing new premium beverages, and updating menus, Delta is continuing to position itself as a leader in inflight hospitality.

Anthony’s Take: I like cleaner snack options and think the new meal choices also sound good. I’ll report back when I try them in flight.
