Delta Air Lines announced today that its going to offer Medallion members at all levels the opportunity to customize metal bag tags. Members can add their names, Million Miler status, and the year they joined Delta SkyMiles®.

SkyMiles® Medallion members can order their bag tags by clicking here. You’ll need to log in with your SkyMiles® account information in order to customize your tags. Custom tags are available for Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members.

Along with the announcement of these custom bag tags, Delta added news that Annual Choice Benefits earned by Platinum and Diamond Medallion members will now be able to be selected through the app. This year, there are more Choice Benefits than ever before including bonus miles, travel vouchers, Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQD) Accelerators, gifting status, Delta Vacations experiences, credit card statement credits, and more.

Anthony’s Take: I think this is a nice gesture and aligns with Delta’s premium airline strategy. I am not a fan of bag tags and have not used them on my bags in many years. I know many people are fans of these tags and will appreciate the custom tags and for that I give Delta credit as several carriers have cut sending these to many elite members.
