A recent survey conducted by Upgraded Points shows that Delta Air Lines is the winner when it comes to in-flight snacking. 24 states found that Delta has the best choices for noshing onboard.
In April 2024, Upgraded Points surveyed 2,184 people in the United States to find out about their on-board snacking food and beverage habits. In ranking snacks, these were the results by state:
- Chips – 28 states
- Pretzels – five states
- Peanuts – five states
- Biscoff Cookies – five states
- Trail Mix – one state
Biscoff Cookies are synonymous with Delta Air Lines. The gingery treat is one of my favorites and it helped Delta secure the top spot for airline snacks with 24 states giving it the win.
When it comes to beverages, water is the non-alcoholic choice that takes first place followed by Coke and apple juice. Alcoholic beverages are dominated by whiskey and vodka. People also don’t mind paying for alcoholic beverages. The majority of Gen Zers (52%), millennials (58%), and Gen Xers (52%) believe paying extra for an alcoholic drink is completely worth it.
Anthony’s Take: My go-to beverage is ginger ale and Biscoff Cookies are also high on my list. What’s your favorite in-flight snack and beverage?
