Patriots’ Day is observed in seven US states to commemorate the battles of Lexington, Concord, and Menotomy (the inaugural battles of the American Revolutionary War). Delta Air Lines will help New Englanders celebrate in April 2026 with the addition of 40 nonstop flights to 10 leisure destinations including Panama City’s Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) for the first time.
Additional capacity for Patriots’ Day (nearly 6,000 seats) will operate on April 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to:
- Charleston International Airport (CHS)
- Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
- Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)
- Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
- Panama City’s Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP)
- Pensacola International Airport (PNS)
- Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ)
- Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)
These additional flights will be served by Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection. The airline is the largest at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and operates 165 peak day departures with service to 62 total destinations (including 11 international destinations).
Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning at Delta Air Lines, said:
Patriots’ Day is a uniquely Boston celebration, and we’re excited to offer nearly 6,000 additional seats on flights out of Boston to give our customers even more ways to make the most of the long weekend. Whether you’re chasing sunshine, reuniting with loved ones or just taking a well-earned break, these new routes make it easier than ever to take off from Boston and land somewhere sunny.”
Anthony’s Day: I was not aware of Patriots’ Day, but Delta is making it easier for those who celebrate to escape the cold and get to 10 warm weather destinations this coming April.
