People find love on airplanes all the time, but it’s rare that they actually get married at cruising altitude. One couple did just that and had their wedding onboard an Alaska Airlines flight this past October.
Cydne and Grant said “I do” in the First Class cabin of an Alaska Airlines flight traveling between Portland International Airport (PDX) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). They worked with the airline on the logistics of having their ordained friend perform the ceremony in front of 30 of their friends and family who came along for the trip.
Upon arrival, Alaska employees met the couple and escorted them from the plane to baggage claim. There they had a sign and gifts waiting for them before the couple was off to their wedding reception in Las Vegas.
Anthony’s Take: This is an AV geek’s dream. Kudos to the couple for coming up with a fun way to get married and to Alaska Airlines for assisting in making it happen.
