Today is October 1st and we’re just three months away from 2026. I’ve been happy with the way that I have been pacing this year for both my airline and hotel status goals. My travel this year has been busy and it’s about to be even more so in the coming months. This is helping me to rack up miles, segments, and stays quickly. At the end of each quarter, I like to check to see how I’m pacing and to review if the goals I set in the beginning of the year still seem attainable. Here are my Q3 2025 stats:
American Airlines AAdvantage®
I’ve been flying so much this year and I knew I’d have Delta and United where I wanted them status-wise. I decided to take advantage of a promotion through World of Hyatt® that offered Platinum Pro® status through American’s Instant Status Pass™ program. I am well on my way to maintaining Platinum Pro® and might even be able to push to Executive Platinum. To maintain Platinum Pro®, I need 11,485 more Loyalty Points by December 5th to achieve this goal. If I push for Executive Platinum, I need 30,485 Loyalty Points.
Current Status: Platinum Pro®
Goal: Platinum Pro®
Current Loyalty Points: 30,515
Prediction: I will retain Platinum Pro® status.
Delta Air Lines SkyMiles®
Current Status: Platinum Medallion®
Goal: Platinum Medallion®
Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQDs): $13,389
I need to reach $15,000 MQDs to retain Platinum Medallion®. I’m at $13,389, which means I have already qualified for Gold Medallion®. I have $2,417 MQDs booked in October and that will put me over the $1,611 I need to retain my current status.
Prediction: I will requalify for Platinum Medallion® next month.
United Airlines MileagePlus
Current Status: Premier 1K®
Goal: Premier 1K®
Current Premier Qualifying Flights (PQFs): 68
Current Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs): 27,228
I needed to reach 22,000 PQPs and 60 PQFs or 28,000 PQPs. I got there in July and will retain Premier 1K® status for 2026.
Prediction: I achieved Premier 1K® already.
Spirit Airlines Free Spirit®
Current Status: Free Spirit Silver
Goal: None
Current Status Qualifying Points (SQPs): 1,064
I originally earned Free Spirit Gold status through a status match and it was good until December 2024. I flew Spirit a few times last year and even less this year. I likely will not hit Free Spirit Silver based on my current travel, but I do have a few Spirit flights and it might be close. It’s become a moot point here as I book Big Front Seats™ and don’t check bags.
Prediction: I generally enjoy Spirit, but will not push for status. I might make Silver again organically. We’ll see.
World of Hyatt®
Current Status: Globalist
Goal: Globalist
Current Qualifying Nights: 38
I need to reach 60 nights by the end of 2025. I am currently at 38 nights and have enough nights coming up this quarter to hit Globalist by November. I’m a bit behind this year, but will make it.
Prediction: I will retain Globalist status.
Marriott Bonvoy®
Current Status: Titanium Elite
Goal: Titanium Elite
Current Qualifying Nights: 96
I received 25 nights from holding the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card and 15 more from the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card. Marriott had been running a double elite night promo and I pushed on that. I am at 96 nights and still counting. I am Lifetime Platinum Elite, so I knew going into the year that no matter what I wouldn’t go below that level. I was Ambassador pretty much since it was introduced by SPG (except for 2024 and 2025). The program has been diluted so much that I no longer strive for this level with its minimal benefits above Titanium Elite, but with my travel up so much there is a chance I will get there as I have some expensive stays coming up. We’ll see. I need to spend $10,845, which is a lot but not impossible (I’m not counting on this by a long shot, mind you).
Prediction: I will retain Titanium Elite.
Hilton Honors
Current Status: Gold
Goal: Gold
Current Qualifying Nights: 3
I hold Gold status with Hilton Honors as a benefit from having The Platinum Card® from American Express. I stayed three nights this year, so far. I’ll retain Gold status because I get it as a credit card benefit.
Prediction: I’ll retain Gold status from carrying The Platinum Card® from American Express.
Anthony’s Take: I’m on track to retain the status levels that I want to maintain. My priorities have changed over the past year (again) and I’ve shifted back to United becoming my primary airline with Delta in second and now American also in the mix. Hyatt and Marriott hold equal footing for my preferred hotel program. If I stay on course, I’ll hit everything that I want in 2025. This will have been a busy travel year, but far from my busiest.
