I’m trying to figure out how half of 2025 has already passed. My travel this year continues to be busy with short, weekly trips that are helping me to rack up miles, segments, and stays quickly. At the end of each quarter, I like to check to see how I’m pacing and to review if the goals I set in the beginning of the year still seem attainable. Here are my Q2 2025 stats:

DL Q2 2025

Delta Air Lines SkyMiles®

Current Status: Platinum Medallion®

Goal: Platinum Medallion®

Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQDs): $10,555

I need to reach $15,000 MQDs to retain Platinum Medallion®. I’m at $10,555, which means I have already qualified for Gold Medallion®. I have $938 MQDs booked in the next few months and will have lots more travel later this year.

Prediction: I feel good about requalifying for Platinum Medallion® this year.

United Q2 2025 Status

United Airlines MileagePlus

Current Status: Premier 1K®

Goal: Premier 1K®

Current Premier Qualifying Flights (PQFs): 58

Current Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs): 24,065

I need to reach 22,000 PQPs and 60 PQFs or 28,000 PQPs. I wll get my last two PQFs next week and am over the PQPs already. I am a Million Miler, so I know I won’t drop below Premier Gold®, but this year 1K® is locked in.

Prediction: I will reach Premier 1K® within a week and retain the status.

Spirit Q1 Status

Spirit Airlines Free Spirit®

Current Status: Free Spirit Silver

Goal: None

Current Status Qualifying Points (SQPs): 488

I originally earned Free Spirit Gold status through a status match and it was good until December 2024. I flew Spirit a few times last year and even less this year. I will not hit Free Spirit Silver based on my current travel. It’s become a moot point here as I book Big Front Seats™ and don’t check bags.

Prediction: I generally enjoy Spirit, but continue to feel like I will not retain any sort of status.

Hyatt Q2 2025 Status

World of Hyatt®

Current Status: Globalist

Goal: Globalist

Current Qualifying Nights: 21

I need to reach 60 nights by the end of 2025. I am currently at 21 nights and have several more nights coming up this week and still think that I’ll hit Globalist by late summer. I’m a bit behind this year, but have gone over Marriott Titanium.

Prediction: I will retain Globalist status.

Marriott Status Q2 2025

Marriott Bonvoy®

Current Status: Titanium Elite

Goal: Titanium Elite

Current Qualifying Nights: 91

I received 25 nights from holding the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card and 15 more from the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card. Marriott had been running a double elite night promo and I pushed on that. I am at 91 nights and still counting. I am Lifetime Platinum Elite, so I know no matter what I won’t go below that level. I was Ambassador pretty much since it was introduced by SPG (except for 2024). The program has been diluted so much that I no longer strive for this level with its minimal benefits above Titanium Elite, but with my travel up so much there is a chance I will get there. We’ll see. I need to spend $12,668, which is a lot but not impossible.

Prediction: I will retain Titanium Elite.

Hilton Q2 2025 Status

Hilton Honors

Current Status: Diamond

Goal: Diamond

Current Qualifying Nights: 2

I hold Gold status with Hilton Honors as a benefit from having The Platinum Card® from American Express. I stayed two nights this year, so far. I’ll retain Gold status because I get it as a credit card benefit.

Prediction: I’ll retain Gold status from carrying The Platinum Card® from American Express.

Anthony’s Take: I’m on track to retain the status levels that I want to maintain. My priorities have changed over the past year (again) and I’ve shifted back to United becoming my primary airline with Delta in second. Hyatt and Marriott hold equal footing for my preferred hotel program. If I stay on course, I’ll hit everything that I want in 2025.
