A few days ago, I wrote about how the Chase Sapphire Lounge® by The Club would be opening at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) very soon. It’s now open and we also have some updates around other lounges that are slated to begin serving guests soon.

Chase Sapphire has been opening new lounges at a pretty rapid pace over the past few years. First came the location in Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) (full review here) in May 2023. February 2024 saw the opening of both New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) (full review here). In March, the Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) opened its doors (more here).

Future locations are slated to open on the following timetable:

  • San Diego International Airport (SAN) will open on December 6th
  • Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will open in early 2025
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) opens in mid-2025
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is opening in 2025 without a set date yet

Along with these openings, Chase will be closing the Sapphire Terrace at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in March 2025.

Access

Access is granted to those with a Priority Pass membership gained through carrying the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (cardholders can also bring two guests). If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, JP Morgan Reserve, or Ritz-Carlton card, you can enter  an unlimited number of times, but if you have a Priority Pass membership from holding any other card, you’re limited to one visit per year (subsequent visits will be charged $75 each). Guest passes cost $100 for travelers that are not part of any Priority Pass program.

Dana Pouwels, Head of Airport Lounge Benefits at Chase, said:

When we opened our first domestic lounge, we were clear that expanding our footprint and elevating the on-trip experience for our Sapphire Reserve cardmembers was a priority. Our openings in Phoenix and San Diego, in addition to the expansion of lounge access in locations where our customers live and travel, continues along our goal of delivering this highly sought after benefit.”

Anthony’s Take: I’m excited to check out these new locations. Chase’s lounges have been pretty solid and I’m glad that they are adding several new locations.

Any idea if the once per year entry is based on a calendar year or a year from your last visit?
