I have been a member of FoundersCard for the past decade and found value in some of the travel benefits. The one that was always most valuable to me was the Diamond status granted in the Caesars Rewards program. This benefit went away on January 31st and I was reevaluating if I would be renewing my membership. I just found out that the replacement benefit: Platinum status in Wynn Rewards is only being granted to FoundersCard Elite members.
Thanks to reader @jwwtiki for pointing this out. I did not catch the fine print and there is no way I’m upgrading and paying $995 per year for this status. It’s been a good run, but c’est la vie!
In February 2024, I wrote about how FoundersCard and Caesars Rewards were parting ways. In March 2024, it was decided that the benefit was going to be extended into January 2025. With that benefit going away, I saw no other real reason to keep the membership and was going to cancel it (until the benefit was preserved a month later and before my July renewal date). I decided today to cancel my membership and did so in order to not be billed for the renewal in July.
Anthony’s Take: Goodbye, FoundersCard. It’s been a good run, but I don’t see $595 worth of value (let alone $995).

Card is a total joke. Better to burn cash to stay warm.
