Earlier this week, I wrote about how Avelo Airlines was shutting down its West Coast operations, closing some bases, and cancelling all West Coast routes to refocus on East Coast growth. Breeze Airways wasted no time in swooping in and adding routes to cities that Avelo decided to cancel.

If you’re not familiar, Breeze Airways is a low-cost airline that offers point-to-point flights to underserved markets across the United States using a fleet of modern Airbus A220 aircraft. I’ve flown Breeze several times and enjoyed the experience, overall (you can read the latest review here). Travel & Leisure named it as one of the five best US airlines for the fourth consecutive year in 2025. Breeze now serves 76 cities in 34 states with its latest additions.

The new flights will not start until March 2026, but these routes include:

  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from California Redwood Coast (ACV) (3x weekly; starts on March 12th)
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from Eugene Airport (EUG) (2x weekly; starts on March 19th)
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) (2x weekly; starts on March 18th)
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from Provo Airport (PVU) (5x weekly; starts on March 11th)
  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to/from Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) (2x weekly; starts on March 13th)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to/from Provo Airport (PVU) (2x weekly; starts on March 13th)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to/from Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) (2x weekly; starts on March 13th)

Lukas Johnson, Breeze Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said:

Breeze was started to bring affordable, premium air service to underserved communities and we look forward to introducing new West Coast travelers to our premium product at a time when many of these airports are more underserved than ever. We have long been monitoring opportunities to expand our network on the West Coast and hope the news will be a welcome reprieve for travelers in these communities.”

Travelers in these cities should be excited as Breeze offers a First Class-like cabin, snacks, drinks, and Wi-Fi. All of those amenities are not offered by Avelo Airlines. Avelo has faced some backlash for running deportation flights and its brand has suffered as a result.

David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO, added:

With an expanded West Coast presence that connects travelers to our broader nationwide network, Breeze’s service will bring even more options and convenience to these underserved communities. Our continued growth is evidence that our unique form of air travel that combines affordability and ease with high-value options like premium seating and inflight WiFi is not only working, but highly desired by today’s travelers.”

Anthony’s Take: It’s great that flyers in these cities will retain regular service. I’ve largely enjoyed my flights on Breeze Airways. I’m not sure I’ll ever hit these cities, but it’s great to have options.
