I’ve written a lot about Bilt and Bilt Rewards. Each month, Bilt makes the first fun. It offers bonus opportunities, chances to win points playing a trivia game, and even a contest to win free rent (up to $2,500) for what it calls “Rent Day.” Bilt is a great program with lots of transfer partners and these Rent Day promos make it even sweeter. I am using the Bilt Mastercard® to pay rent on my winter place in Florida again and love it. Today, Bilt Rewards announced that Platinum members will receive Gold status with Air France-KLM Flying Blue.
Air France-KLM Flying Blue Gold Status includes the following benefits:
- Gold and Platinum members and one guest receive complimentary access to lounges when traveling on a same day flight operated by Air France, KLM, China Southern Airways, or a SkyTeam partner (including connections to/from an international SkyTeam partner flight)
- Sky Team Elite Plus status
- Airport priority check-in and boarding
- No points expiration
- 50% discount purchasing Delta Comfort+ seats
- Premium customer support
Bilt Rewards status can be earned at the following points or spend levels:
- Silver (earned with 50,000 points or $10,000 of eligible spending)
- Gold (earned with 125,000 points or $25,000 of eligible spending)
- Platinum (earned with 200,000 points or $50,000 of eligible spending)
That’s a lot of points earned or dollars spent to earn status, but if you make it the benefits (especially the transfer bonuses on Rent Day) are pretty great. In order to receive the status, members must transfer 10,000 or more Bilt Rewards points into their Flying Blue account. The status is good for 12 months.
Terms & Conditions:
All Bilt Platinum Members are currently eligible to enroll in this status match in 2024. To request status again, members will need to requalify for Bilt Platinum Status in 2025. Ex) If a member qualifies for Bilt Platinum in April 2024 and opts in for 12 months of status, they cannot get a second status match in May 2025 unless they have requalified for Bilt Platinum again in 2025.
Anthony’s Take: This is a generous offer and another reason to love Bilt Rewards. It’s not as generous as a match to Platinum status, which would offer access to La Premiere seats, but Gold offers a nice mix of benefits with Flying Blue and SkyTeam.
