BermudAir connects Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) and Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) (through its subsidiary: AnguillAir) to the United States and Canada. BermudAir is strengthening its presence in the New York market and announced plans to serve travelers from three major airports in the region by the end of October. The Bermudian carrier will now offer nonstop flights to Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) from Westchester County Airport (HPN), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA). This has created what the airline calls its “New York Triangle.”
BermudAir’s new schedule gives travelers more flexibility and choice with seven weekly flights from the New York area to Bermuda, covering nearly every day of the week except Monday. The airline’s schedule is as follows:
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (2x weekly on Thursdays and Sundays; starts on October 26th)
- New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA): (2x weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays; starts on October 29th)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN): (3x weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays)
Originally, BermudAir had planned to end its Westchester service once flights from New York LaGuardia (LGA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) began, but growing demand prompted the airline to maintain all three airports in its network.
The expansion builds on BermudAir’s broader East Coast network, which now includes Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Orlando International Airport (MCO), Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), and Richmond International Airport (RIC). In addition, the airline connects Bermuda with Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ), Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Canada.
BermudAir will also launch new service from Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on December 18th, operated through its new subsidiary AnguillAir. This marks the carrier’s first expansion beyond Bermuda and highlights its growing ambitions in the Caribbean market.
All flights will be operated using Embraer E175 and Embraer E190 aircraft, which are ideally suited for short- to medium-haul routes and allow BermudAir to operate with high efficiency while maintaining comfort. The airline offers a two-class cabin configuration featuring spacious seating, attentive onboard service, and a welcoming touch of island hospitality.
Adam Scott, Founder & CEO of BermudAir, said:
Adding service to LaGuardia and Newark is a significant milestone for BermudAir. At the same time, many of our most loyal and frequent travelers from Westchester and Fairfield counties spoke up—and we listened. With the launch of our ‘New York Triangle,’ we’re offering nonstop flights from three of the most convenient New York City–area airports, providing leisure and business travellers alike with more flexibility and convenient access to Bermuda.”
Anthony’s Take: BermudAir is fascinating to me. I have not been to Bermuda since I was a child and I hope to take one fo these flights soon.
